Hello! I’m Bel, your dedicated Family, Wedding, and Funeral celebrant, originally from Kent, known as the Garden of England.
Now based in Essex, I share my life with my wonderful husband, two stepsons, and two adorable grandsons. I believe in the importance of inclusivity and a personal touch in every ceremony, whether it’s a wedding, commitment ceremony, or a heartfelt memorial.
Each event is crafted uniquely to reflect the essence of those involved, ensuring that every moment is memorable and meaningful.
With a passion for reading, gardening, and wellness practices like yoga and meditation, I bring a holistic approach to my celebrant work.
Serving the South East area, including Essex, Kent, Surrey, London, and Suffolk, I am committed to creating heartfelt ceremonies that truly represent your journey, no matter the occasion.

Living Funerals / Wake
Living funerals, or living wakes, allow individuals to celebrate their lives with loved ones while still alive. This personalised occasion can take any form – an event or ceremony – tailored to the individual’s wishes. Anyone can host a living funeral, and you may choose to write your own eulogy to capture cherished memories. I can help you create this meaningful tribute.
What’s the difference between a celebrant and a registrar?
You may be asking what the difference is between a registrar and a celebrant. Aren’t they the same thing?
The simple answer is no! Firstly, both can be beautiful, but one is uniquely yours!
A registrar is a government official who conducts legally binding marriage ceremonies within the framework of civil law.
They typically perform weddings at registered venues or designated locations, following a standardised script to ensure all legal requirements are met and marriage certificates are issued.
In contrast, a wedding celebrant is your creative partner, specialised in creating a personalised and memorable ceremony that is unique to you.
Family Ceremonies: Why choose Celebrant Belle?

As a wedding celebrant, I can create and officiate the ceremony you want.
After spending time with you and hearing about your journey as a couple, I write each ceremony from scratch, meaning your ceremony is written just for you, therefore, it will be special, unique and memorable. I will also be able to integrate special elements into the ceremony to help ensure that each ceremony I deliver is totally unique and memorable.
Your ceremony can be exactly what you want and where you want it to be.

Many couples may opt out of the legal formality of a wedding but still wish to publicly declare their love for one another in front of family and friends.
A commitment ceremony can be held at a location and time of your choosing and can be as grand or as simple as you wish.
Working closely together, each ceremony will be as unique as you are and will retell your love story as you wish it to be told.

A vow renewal is for any married couple who wishes to celebrate reaching a milestone, or maybe you had a beautiful ceremony overseas and not all family and friends were able to attend.
Perhaps you have experienced difficult times, you have reconnected and found your love for one another again and wish to hold a commitment ceremony reaffirming your love and promises to each other.
Working closely together, each ceremony will be as unique as you are and will retell your love story as you wish it to be told.

A naming ceremony is to acknowledge and announce the name/s of a baby or child to the family.
You may also wish to announce the arrival of an adult into the family, a particularly lovely thing for a child who has been adopted and you wish for them to feel accepted.
Special elements can be added to ensure the ceremony that hold values and memories for the family.
Working closely together, each ceremony will be as unique as your child and will hold a special place in your hearts forever.
